Why do people actually think Tottenham would loan us Adebayour now when they wouldn't in January?

Brentford - Zarate clearly can play as a striker but he is also a bit versatile and can play out wide or as an AM, so surely the fact that he is not an "out and out" striker is a good thing. Or is your problem with him that he is a bit on the short side? Thinking like Allardyce?

Re: Oh Dear - Mr Adebayor anyone?
Levy stiffed us 9 months ago, and has been desperate to shift Adebayor ever since. If he hadn't been such a pompous prick he would have saved himself £120,000 a week for the last 28 weeks. As it is, he's spanked £3,500,000 (and counting) just because he didn't want to do business with West Ham.

If he is hoping for any sort of interest from us now he can jog the fcuk on.

Why would he come to sit on our bench when he's quite comfy there?

As far as bad apples go, I'd rather Barton than him any day of the week.

The market always opens up a little the last week of the window, teams start to panic and want rid of players they have been holding out for a higher fee for.

I'm confident one will come in before the window closes.

Zarate is not an "out and out striker" or a goalscorer.

Zarate is an out and out striker.

The season has started hasn't it?

Each game we start we start with Sakho and Zarate. Zarate is not an out and out striker so what if Sakho gets injured? What if Zarate gets injured? One striker left.

So if Sakho gets injured on Satirday we won't worry as we have 2 and a bit weeks to get another one in. Fuck me.

We're not running out of time Russ! We've 2 and a bit weeks left till 1st September...

And Andy Carroll will be back soon and it'll be like having a new signing...

I agree. We are running out of time. I am sick of reading we have put a bid in to Man Utd for Hernandez with no other news.

If it gets to midnight and we haven't got anyone else it may have to be adebayour.

Carroll - no guarantee when he'll be back and still injury prone
Sakho - Injury prone and a month doing bird?
Zarate - not a recognised striker, couldn't lead the line and blows hot and col
Maiga - Shit

Sign another striker FFS!

Glenn Rodent 6:17 Thu Aug 13
Re: Oh Dear - Mr Adebayor anyone?
I'd take him on loan as a last resort if we couldn't get anyone else before the window shut. Surely there is someone else though.

You can't go into the season with just Carroll and Sakho. Zarate isn't a traditional centre forward, Maiga has to be paid off because he is utter shit and Lee I think needs to go out on loan and get some competitive game time week in week out because being a bit part player here will not help his development.
